My Bicycle Guy- On Top of the World

I just have to write a post to say how proud I am of my dear Jason for his GREAT accomplishment of making it all the way to Mt. Baldy on his bike. This is a big deal since he hasn't been up there in 15 years. Since his return to cycling 4 years ago it has been a goal of his to make the journey to Mt. Baldy once again but he just wasn't able to do it...until now!

Spaghetti Dogs

I have stumbled upon a lot of really neat craft/kid blogs lately. When I saw this post, it struck me as gross enough and weird enough and easy enough that I had to try it! Frannie enjoyed the novelty of skewering the spaghetti noodles into the hot dogs and both kids enjoyed the snack. I'll do this again the next time I have a hot dog or two left over from a BBQ.

A Natalie Post

Nicknames:
Nattie (me)
Nettie (me)
Netta (me)
Tweety-Pop (me)
Nate-Dog (Jason)
Natie (like Katie- Jason)
Now-wee (Adam)

Frannie is the only one who calls her Natalie I think.

She's my little pumpkin pie, oh yes she is! (She's kind of sleeping through the night too which is a new experience for me. I'm used to having babies who don't really sleep through until something like 15 months!) She's growin' and changin' every day. She's now rewarding all of us with the precious smiles that crack her face open so big and so wide! Joy!

Video- Getting on the Floor with Nattie

The kids love to get down on the floor whenever Natalie is down there. Adam especially will stop whatever he's doing to crawl down onto the floor and put his face next to hers. He wants to play with her and interact with her in whatever way he can which sometimes translates to being a tad rough with her arms or feet. I grabbed the camera for this moment because he had been getting next to her feet and then jumping up with excitement whenever her foot brushed his cheek. It was so cute. He is doing it a little here but not as much. You can see how delighted both Frannie and Adam are over their baby sister.

4th of July w/ Uncle Jack and Aunt Terri

This year we went to Uncle Jack and Aunt Terri's house for the 4th. We had a very nice time! It is kind of dumb that I don't see my aunt and uncle (or cousins) more frequently since they only live in Anaheim. When they offered to host a BBQ Jason and I thought "How come we never go? Let's just go!" And we did and I'm really glad.

Aunt Terri has a way with the kids. They love her. I don't know if it is her voice or what, but there is just something that endears them to her. My brother also has this quality. My cousin Ryan and Jason's brother Ryan also seem to have kid magic. (I don't have much kid magic. Only with my own kids!)

My cousin Ryan is getting married on 10-10-10 to his fiance Cheryl. We were delighted to meet her! I felt comfortable with her right away. The only bummer about Ryan and Cheryl getting married is the fact that they've chosen the exact same wedding date as Bryan and Stefanie. This annoys me greatly because I haven't been to a wedding since my OWN wedding seven years ago and here I am going to miss out on one of the few I would definitely be invited to. I like weddings. I want a reason to buy an outfit. I want to go out to dinner. Have a party. Dance to a DJ. Weddings are fun! (Well at least what I remember of them.) So I'm sad that I will miss Ryan and Cheryl's.

One of these days...

One of these days I'll have the time to upload pics and write an update! I am hoping by the end of the week.
